·       Weekly parent strategy meetings to remind victims that their children do no want to live in the violence= $60 per hour

·        Assertiveness training= $100 per seminar (2-3 hours)

·        Money for daycare= $350 per week per child

·        Attorney¹s fees= $15,000

·        Gas cards= $40 per month

·        Housing unit to keep families in for six months while they learn how to change their lives and parent more effectively for their children (i.e. nutrition and cooking classes, exercise, job skills, and parenting and protective factors). This is long-term

·       Handyman services (rent-a-husband so they don¹t need their abusive one)= $65-150 per visit

·       Recreation/Entertainment expenses (so battered families can find joy in living)= $30 per child, per month

·       Dependable cars and services= $35-1500.

 

Cost of reactive care for a child and family in crisis: potentially- tens of thousands of dollars.
